Artistic Statement
Photography to me is a constant journey of me trying to understand myself and my surrounding. With the power that photography holds, I believe this helps me to uplift both myself and the people whose stories I tell. It is also one way am able to use photography as a tool to break barriers associated with stereotypes.
With me currently exploring indigenous medicine and its related practices, I intend to use photography as a medium to place my contribution towards a better representation of Africa and her people as a whole. This helps to further change the perceptions surrounding the unknown groups of people around my community that chose to embrace their culture and its values to date.
